Just unearthed the original Rotenbach 1953 operating manual – brittle pages, German gothic typeface, and diagrams that look more like blueprints for a U-boat than a home appliance. 😅
This isn’t a manual – it’s a survival guide for a machine that probably glowed in the dark and weighed as much as a small car.
From what I can decipher: 🔧 “Vor Gebrauch stets die Röhren aufwärmen lassen” (Always let the tubes warm up before use) ⚙️ “Hebel 3 in Stellung ‘M’ bringen für maximale Frequenz” (Lever 3 to position ‘M’ for max frequency) ⚠️ “Niemals mit feuchten Händen die Rückseite berühren” (Never touch the back with wet hands) – solid advice even today.
