Will Rodman (James Franco) is a scientist at Gen-Sys, a biotech company testing a viral-based drug (ALZ-112) to cure Alzheimer’s disease. After a test chimp named Bright Eyes reacts violently and is shot, Will discovers she was protecting her newborn infant. Will takes the infant home, naming him Caesar.
