It's been a year since Dr. Lawrence Gordon (Cary Elwes) and Detective David Tapp (Danny Glover) survived the gruesome games of Jigsaw (Tobin Bell), also known as John Kramer. The police are still searching for Jigsaw, who is believed to be dead, but his legacy lives on.

As Daniel navigates through a series of deadly traps and puzzles, he meets Laura Hunter (Beverly Mitchell), a mysterious woman who seems to be connected to Jigsaw. Daniel soon realizes that he is not just fighting for his life, but also for the life of his ex-girlfriend, Gina (Emmanuelle Vaugier), who has been kidnapped by Amanda.

As the game progresses, Daniel and Laura discover that Jigsaw's plan is much more complex than they initially thought. They are forced to confront their own dark secrets and make impossible choices to survive.
