But for a brief, glorious decade, it was the skeleton key that unlocked every PC. It was the reason you could carry a single USB stick with fifteen different operating system installers. It was the tool that let you triple-boot a PlayStation 3 (yes, really — the Other OS feature). You shouldn't. Not on real hardware.
