I recently reinstalled Windows 7 on an older PC with an Intel G41 chipset motherboard (e.g., Asus P5G41, Gigabyte GA-G41M, Intel DG41RQ). After the install, the Ethernet (LAN) wasn't working.

Download the Intel PROSet package above.

Windows 7 lost mainstream support. After getting LAN working, immediately run Windows Update to install USB 3.0 and AHCI drivers.
