Do not buy the Studio 2 if you hate troubleshooting. Buy it if you want 49 full-sized, semi-weighted keys for under $80. Just remember: The keys work instantly; the fader and buttons require a 10-minute software setup.

The driver/editor software is clunky and looks like it was designed in 2005, but it works. Once you set the device to Mackie Control mode, the transport controls are reliable.

But if you open the box, you won't find a CD or a USB drive. You will find a confusing maze of Google searches asking: "Where is the driver? Do I even need one?"
