My "Scan & OCR" function in Adobe Acrobat Pro DC finally works again. No more "39-LINK-39" nonsense.
FIXED: Adobe Acrobat DC OCR Fix.exe throwing "39-LINK-39" error / missing file
If you have a file named Adobe Acrobat DC OCR Fix.exe that is less than 500KB – delete it immediately. That is not the real program. It's a stub/linker. The real OCR fix should be ~15MB–50MB.
I spent the last 2 hours pulling my hair out over this, so I figured I’d share the solution in case anyone else runs into the dreaded issue with the Adobe Acrobat DC OCR Fix.exe tool.
Hope this saves someone else the headache.
Ignore any "direct download" links from forum pages that are older than 6 months. They are dead.
